Semi Supply can rebuild your handlers. When we are finished handlers will work and look like new. The following are the steps that Semi takes in all of our complete handler rebuilds.


Environmental Rebuild.
After years of use at temperature ranges from -55 C to +155 C many gaskets, seals and phenalic materials are worn and cracked. To ensure frost free operations as well as temperature stability in all thermal storage and test site areas, Semi replaces all worn or damaged insulate material with parts that meet or exceed manufacture's specifications. (Quality materials like G10, carbon filled Peak, Vespel, etc.)

Mechanical Rebuild.
From excessive wear and tear many mechanical assemblies and the plating that protects them become worn. Semi thoroughly inspects all metal parts to ensure that they are properly plated and deburred to ensure jam free operations. Metal guides and track can be stripped and replated with electrolys nickel (with postbake) hard anodizing or any other plating required. With the small outlines of today's SOIC, SOJ and other lightweight package styles it is critical that all input, output and test site assemblies be properly tuned for smoother and friction free movement. From the intricate process of the test site to the large input and output assemblies, Semi's technical team assures you that any of our quality rebuilt handlers will be mechanically sound to withstand the rigors of today's smaller devices.

Electrical Rebuild.
The complexity and interdependence of a handlers electrical system requires that all boards, sensors, emitters, and probes communicate with absolute precision. Semi checks every electrical component to ensure that input and output voltages are correct. All emitters and sensors are aligned to ensure that accurate timing of parts movement is maintained. Probes and heaters are calibrated for accurate temperature and stability in the storage schemes, and test sites. Solenoids, powers supplies and motors are checked, cleaned or replaced. All boards are measured with and oscilloscope to check for accurate signals. Faulty boards are repaired in house or replaced.

Cosmetic Rebuild.
No handles will be complete unless it looks like new. After the thorough environmental, mechanical and electrical rebuild we repaint each panel and cover, as well as the handler sub-frame, to its original color scheme and texture. All control panels are then silk screened and repainted. Since we take pride knowing our handlers work like new, we make them look that way as well.
